Complete three-gear replacement set for selected VDO speedometers, tachometers and hour meters. This set replaces deteriorated odometer drive gears that can cause the odometer or trip meter to stop operating while the speedometer continues to work. Known applications include BMW E23, E24, E28 and E30; Mercedes-Benz R107, W124, W126, G-Wagen W460/W461 and Powerliner; MAN trucks; Volvo FM; Audi 200 C3; and selected John Deere instruments. Different E3 gear ratios were fitted within the same model ranges, so compatibility must be confirmed by counting both sections of the original E3 compound gear. Available E3 ratios are 48 × 12, 48 × 13, 48 × 14, 48 × 15, 48 × 16, 48 × 17, 48 × 18, 48 × 19 and 48 × 21. Select exactly the same tooth count as your original gear. The other two gears are included as part of the complete set.
