Complete 25-tooth VDO odometer gear repair kit for compatible Holden, Ford, Nissan, Volvo and Audi instrument clusters. Includes: - 25T odometer sun gear - One-piece nylon carrier gear - Correct top-hat spacer hub on the sun gear - Replacement for the common odometer and speedometer gear failure points Why this design is better: Original gears can crack or strip with age, causing the odometer or trip meter to stop while the speedometer may continue to operate. Many replacement kits use a clip-on gear that reuses the original carrier base. The problem is that the old carrier base can already be warped, or can move over time through repeated instrument-cluster heat cycles. Our kit replaces the complete carrier with a one-piece nylon gear, so you are not relying on the aged original base. The 25T sun gear also incorporates the correct top-hat spacer hub. This maintains clearance from the carrier and helps prevent the sun gear from rubbing on, or working its way down onto, the carrier. Compatible applications Suitable for compatible: - Holden Commodore VN, VP, VR and selected VS instruments - Ford Falcon EA, EB and ED - Selected Nissan VDO instrument clusters - Selected Volvo VDO instrument clusters - Selected Audi VDO instrument clusters Australian designed and manufactured, and used in our own instrument repairs. Important Some VS Commodores use a 20-tooth arrangement. This 25-tooth kit is not suitable for those instruments.
