Universal Australian-manufactured M6 accelerator and throttle cable kit for automotive, industrial, stationary-engine and equipment applications. Select the required cable length from 2 to 6 metres. Both the outer cable and stainless-steel inner can be trimmed to suit the installation. Cable construction: • High-quality outer cable with a low-friction HDPE liner • 1.5 mm stainless-steel inner cable • M6 threaded bulkhead fitting permanently swaged to the outer cable • 8 mm barrel fitting permanently attached to the inner cable • Strong, smooth and lightweight throttle operation Fitting kit includes: • Nuts and washer for the M6 bulkhead • Adjustable cable stop • Outer cable end cap Typical applications: • Accelerator and throttle controls • Custom and modified vehicles • Carburettors and throttle bodies Trim-to-length fitting instructions: 1. Remove the stainless-steel inner cable from the outer cable. 2. Dummy-fit the outer cable and determine the required finished length. 3. Clearly mark the outer cable at the cutting position. 4. Cut the outer cable with an angle grinder. 5. Chamfer and clean the cut end, ensuring there are no sharp edges or debris that could damage the inner cable. 6. Remove approximately 10 mm of the black plastic covering from the cut end of the outer cable. 7. Fit the supplied outer cable end cap. 8. Replace the stainless-steel inner cable and install the cable assembly. 9. Loosely fit the adjustable cable stop at the throttle or linkage end. 10. Check the complete pedal and throttle movement, ensuring the throttle reaches both the closed and fully open positions without binding. 11. Tighten the cable stop securely. 12. Trim the excess inner cable only after the installation and adjustment have been confirmed. Installation, mounting and adaptation will depend on the individual application. Always remove the inner cable before cutting the outer cable. Wear suitable eye and hand protection when cutting or grinding.
